1985 - George Orwell’s little known unpublished sequel to 1984. A prophetic synth pop dystopian image of facist gender politics that leads to a uniformed pastel coloured rainbow world of perms, spandex and leg warmers.

Marillion - Misplaced Childhood
Adam Ant - Vive le Rock
UFO - Misdemeanor
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
Hawkwind - Chronicle of the Black Sword
IQ - The Wake
Pendragon - The Jewel
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms

all great albums.
1985 was when I first got into Yes.
I remember playing The Yes Album a lot that summer.. other albums I remember playing a lot were Queen II and A Day at the Races
In September a load of us had tickets to see Marillion at Hammersmith Odeon and we drove up from just outside Maidstone to Hammersmith, only to find the gig had been cancelled due to Fish being unwell.
